This is part of a museum for modern art in Luxembourg. It may be for this but I’d say it’s mainly for looks. Also other posters talking about this giving you a reduction in property taxes once again it’s a museum in Luxembourg I don’t think US property taxes apply to them.
-Museums and public infrastructure are usually the best places to see things like this because they can justify form and function in the design process. Unlike private projects which generally will focus on cost efficiency first.
The center is actually a drain area made that way on purpose. It’s clever design.
This smart driveway design allows rainwater to seep back into the earth between the middle strip of pavers so that it won’t puddle or flood.
